What to Expect When You Visit

whattoexpect-1While we are evangelical, we are not focused on evangelism¬†in the sense that we do not believe it is our efforts at “outreach” that add to the Body of Christ, but His gracious call in Word and Sacraments. As such, you will receive a genuine welcome, not a “sales pitch.” As a part of that genuine welcome, we will not ask you to stand up in front of church and identify that you are a visitor.

Greeters will welcome you before and after each service. Please identify yourself as a visitor and they will answer any questions that you may have.

Children are integral members of the Body of Christ and we welcome the whole family’s participation in the Divine Service. When there is need, we do have a separate nursery where the service can still be heard.

We offer Bible class for all ages and graded Sunday School pre-K through 12th grade.

Pastor Martin’s adult Bible study approaches the Bible as our shared history and how that has led us to where we are today. This viewpoint often leads to a riveting discussion on topics that are just as relevant today as they were when the Bible was written. This is a class that you will not want to miss!

We look forward to you visiting and if you have any further questions for us, please do not hesitate to reach out to Pastor Martin. You may reach Pastor Martin by phone, email, or by using the Contact Us form on this site.

Now that you have discovered who we are, we invite you to explore the different options under the “Engage” menu on our web site to learn about all the opportunities there are to engage at Our Savior Lutheran Church.
