Thomas Broome

Assistant Music Director / Organist

Thomas Broome is an accomplished organist and pianist. He began studying the organ in 2022 at age 13, following five years of intensive piano training. In 2023, at 14 years old, he was appointed as an organist at Our Savior. Before turning to the organ, Thomas distinguished himself as a pianist, earning recognition in multiple Young Artist Audition competitions across the Triangle in various divisions. In 2022, he won first place at the local level of the NC Federation of Music Clubs State Scholarship Piano Competition and placed second at the state level. As an organist, Thomas earned both First Prize and the Hymn Prize in the Intermediate Division of the 2025 UNCSA High School Organ Festival & Competition. He is also a recipient of the Cooper-Miller Organ Scholarship sponsored by the American Guild of Organists. Thomas has since continued his piano studies, currently studies organ with Dr. Filippa Duke, and sings with the NC Master Chorale Youth Choir under the direction of Dr. Daniel Monek.
