Rev. Andrew Smith

Pastor

Pastor Andrew Smith has served six Lutheran congregations, beginning in 1992 as a field-worker in Valley Park and Bridgeton, MO, and a vicarage in Lakewood, CO. Prior to being called to Our Savior, he served congregations in Memphis, MI, Hickory, NC, and Cookeville, TN, as well as serving 8 years as an active-duty, US Navy Chaplain. Pastor Smith grew up in a Lutheran congregation in Marietta, GA before attending Concordia Lutheran College, Austin, and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. He and his wife Kim met in Austin and married in 1991, and are living their lives as happily as ever. Their daughter, Erika, lives in Michigan with her husband, Donavan. And their son, Daniel, is a student at East Tennessee State in Johnson City. The Smiths are adapting to being empty-nesters and enjoying traveling, hiking and camping (in tents!) as well as reading and movies. Kim is a keen quilter and aspiring master of textile crafting. Pastor Smith is an avid brewer of beer.
